FERNANDA CASSEL, Sutton Park School, Dublin, Ireland

Débora Oliven

Hello, my name is Fernanda and I spent 7 months in Ireland as part of the STB High School programme. I lived with the Campbells, the sweetest couple with two children that I adored, in Bayside, a very friendly neighbourhood. I went to Sutton Park School where the main objective was to integrate international students with the Irish ones (which wasn´t that difficult, considering the Irish people live up to their fame of being the nicest in Europe). The classes were all about putting to practice what you've learned, so it wasn´t just copying what you see on the blackboard, which made learning a lot easier.

Fernanda

Right away I made friends with the other international students, such as two Japanese girls (who taught me a lot I didn´t know about their culture), an American boy and a Spanish girl. Time passed and I started to go out a lot with some of the Irish boys who then introduced me to their other girl friends, and we all got along really well. I had a blast, we went out every weekend, and some school days we had sleepovers at a friend´s house. Going to the movies, having "free gaff" parties at someone's house or just going to the lanes at night was what we did the most.

Friends

Ireland has so much to offer for entertainment, but their people are certainly what I loved the most about it. They are so welcoming and so eager to learn more about you and to make you feel comfortable in their country, that their energy just overwhelms you. It was the best experience of my life, without a doubt!
